Extra Curricular Activities

The school provides pupils with opportunities to particpate in an increasing number and range of lunchtime and after school activities. Over the past two years, these have included:

Footbal Club Musical / Dramatical Productions
Netball Club Maths workshops

The Pupils also benefit from a wide range of visitors to school as well as educational visits. These greatly enhance the quality of our curriculum. Regular events include educational visits to:

Ely Fire Station Mount Fitchett Castle
Wimpole Hall West Stow Anglo Saxon Village
Duxford Air Museum Colchester Castle
Ely Magistrates Court The British Museum

We also offer the Year 5 and 6 pupils opportunity to participate in two residential visits, a five day visit to the Isle of Wight for Year Six students and a three three day visit to Burwell House for Year 5 Pupils.

Charging for School Activities

The Governors have implement Cambridgeshire’s policy to charge for school activities. Parents are asked to make a voluntary contribution to activities such as educational outings however no child will be excluded from any activity due to problems with payment

Year 6 Educational Visit

During the summer term, following two terms of hard work for SAT's, Year 6 pupils have the opportunity to take part in a residential visit to the Isle of Wight. This is a mixture of both educational and fun activities during which time the children learn to foster relationships and build on friendships.
